WS Quack + Fischer is already producing the most sustainable packaging ever: folding boxes made of paperboard.
Paperboard is produced 100 % from either the renewable raw materials wood and cellulose fibres or recycled waste paper. On average, paper fibres will be recycled up to 25 times. Die CO2 sequestration in the paper products is therefore significantly extended. For our company it is a constantly continuing process to further develop our sustainability, so today we are thinking about the day after tomorrow.
Sustainability
More than two thirds of all consumers say that environmental aspects of a packaging of goods they buy matter. A study of consumer analyst GfK (Growth from Knowledge) found that three-quarters of the consumers regard packaging made of paper, paperboard or cardboard as ecologically favorable. This is the reason why strong brands favor sustainable packaging to send out the signal that they care about sustainability.
For our net energy demand, WS Quack + Fischer uses environment-friendly solutions only. We rely on an extensive photovoltaic system, we use waste heat of our machines and bring this in line with the low-energy building (KfW55 Gebäude).
